1st Younity Trip Announced!!!

Hey Guys,

Great news!! Our 1st Younity trip has been planned for July 17th – July21st!!! The cost of the trip is $450.00 which includes food, lodging and travel!!! We will being our first phase which is mostly, cleaning, minor plumming and removing old stuff. For an application please pick one up at the eikon outreach table or email Michelle at michellev@calvaryftl.org All application are due by June 11th and MUST be submitted with a $250.00 deposit.

Starting in August the single adult ministries of CCFTL will adopt the All Saints Aids Camp in the Bahamas!! If you do not know of the All Saints Aids Camp, it is home to about 30 people in the corner of the island of Nassau, who need our help. They are afflicted with several types of sicknesses, mostly HIV/AIDS. Their conditions are so deplorable that the camp is unfit and unlivable by most standards. So, we have decided to rebuild their broken lives through building projects, development projects and of course the Word of God. This is our opportunity to bring love of Jesus to an almost forgotten people who desperately need our help. This can only happen through people like you who are willing to help!! Hey Everyone,

We received our t-shirts today and we will start selling them at eikon this Wednesday night. The cost is $20.00 and all proceeds go to the All Saints Aids Camp. We are also hoping to have our first mission team on the ground by 8/1/2008. Stay tuned for announcements.

Youniting to Fight HIV/AIDS in thr Bahamas

Hey Everybody,

We have been really committed to setting up this project with the Bahamian government and also those who run the All Saints Aids Camp. Although it hasn’t been easy, God has remained faithful and has provided opportunities that no one can question. First, Pastor Chet had a meeting with Mr. Nottage (the camp owner) and asked if we can basically adopt this camp and Mr. Nottage was pretty open, which is huge for these people! Second, we went there last weekend and did a thorough walk through to determine what phase one of the project would look like, and lets just say, a lot of work is needed. Younite with us in prayer and action as we continue to plan our upcoming trips starting July 4-8. For more information please check back with us!!!! I will post pictures soon!! We will also have an on line registration form for those who want to come and be a part of this adventure shortly.

The (you)nity project is a project starting in May 2008 that exists to bring love, dignity and the Gospel, to a bunch of silenced voices who are suffering from HIV/AIDS in a small corner of the Bahamas. We have decided to adopt the All Saints Aids Camp in Nassau, to change their quality of living, to give back their dignity that has been lost and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Starting soon we will send mission teams once a month, to rebuild, reconstruct and renovate the camp. Stay tuned for details. But most of all please pray that God would give us the favor,wisdom and resources to fulfill this vision.
